Additional Information: The X-34 utilizes many cutting edge technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques including composite structures, composite reusable propellant fuel tanks, an advanced thermal protection system, low-cost avionics, leading-edge tiles, and autonomous flight operation systems. This project was cancelled in March, 2001.
